Your Calling, Your Life |
 |
Hearing God's Call and Following Jesus' Teachings in our Lives For many of us our jobs and our careers are merely the means with which we put food on our tables, pay the mortgage, and keep the economy rolling. These are often ruled more by good business practices and the bottom line than by our conscience or beliefs, yet we spend over half our waking life in these endeavors.
Do you hear a call to be truer to your Christian beliefs? Do you feel a calling to more fully integrate your life as a Christian with your life as a breadwinner? Perhaps your call is to explore a more explicit ministry through seminary and ordination. Here we present resources to help you explore that call, to live your Christian life day in, day out, whether on the clock or off. |

A joint effort between the Office of Ministry Development and the ELCA, this site will assist those who want their Christian faith to be alive and an integral part of their week Sunday to Monday, not just Sundays. Ministry, by our definition, is about vocation, the vocation of all persons baptized, not just a few. |
