The Diocesan Development Program

In February 1999, the 95th Annual Diocesan Council resolved to raise $11.67 million in the first of three phases.  In accepting the recommendation of the Diocesan Development Committee, the Council mirrored the unshakable character of the diocese.  With resonance it affirmed the urgency of the needs and the worthiness of this call to mission.

These needs were identified in six key areas:

  • New Church Starts
  • Bishop Jones Center at Cathedral Park
  • Mustang Island Conference Center
  • Texas Military Institute
  • Camp Capers
  • Good Samaritan Center

Each component is vital to our work, and the plan, as a whole, will propel our Diocese into a new range of missionary accomplishments.   This brochure explains in more detail the needs of the six key areas.
